The 5 Ws of Accessibility Requirements for Buildings
August 1, 2022Hello Everyone, It’s July 1st, 2022 and today marks the 1-Year Anniversary of launching the website and other social media accounts for Rooted Architecture Studio! It is also about a year since I started to take on projects under the company name and am quite proud of how far I’ve come in the past year. Looking back I have accomplish a lot of the goals I had set for myself, but as always with life I still have quite a few to cross off the list that have been delayed, and more that are being added as time passes and I learn more.
As some of you may have known, I began this company as a side hustle while working full-time for another first. On Jan. 1st, 2022, I took the leap and became a Project Manager consultant at my previous full-time job via Rooted and in return became full-time with this firm. Through the past 6 months, I have been managing Rooted, working on various residential projects, and providing my Project Manager/Architectural services as a consultant for Healthcare projects. In this time, I have learnt quite a few things to improve managing of the company, and in design, as each project I have done has had its own unique problems to resolve. I’ve gained more confidence and sight on where I would like to take the company and much more.
I would like to thank my family, friends, people I have met through networking, and clients for their support. It means a lot to be able to live out my dreams/goals. Nothing comes easy, it has been hard work, resilience, creating balance, and working on myself that have led to this point. I look forward to seeing where I and the company are at the end of 2022. I hope to be able to service many more clients in residential, commercial, and healthcare projects. As well as, just provide information to those in search of it.
I will continue to post a blog monthly with helpful information for those who wish to learn and understand aspects of Architecture, Construction, Codes and Permits. As well as, post E-booklets with information for people to refer to and hopefully get some of my projects up on the website for people to see. Also, please make sure to keep up on my social media accounts, links shown at the bottom the website in yellow icons. To celebrate my 1-Year launch I have developed a short E-booklet on “Zoning and Building Codes for the Everyday People”. Click Here to open and read it in English or Click Here to open and read it in Spanish.
Well that’s all for today. Hope you enjoyed this blog and hope you come back next month to read my next blog, and that you take some time to read my older posts if you haven’t already. As always, please leave a comment or questions and feel free to email me.
Keep growing,
Katherine Serrano Sosa
PS- Happy early 4th of July!
